Assembly Technician

Founded in 1968 as a trading company for Scandinavian laboratory equipment, SKAN is now global market leader in the specialist area of isolator construction for aseptic applications. One of our core competencies is the manufacture of process isolators for pharmaceutical-aseptic production. Even the most complex customer requirements can be fulfilled thanks to the experts at our in-house laboratories who research innovative solutions for isolator technology. 

We currently employ around 800 employees with over 40 nationalities represented. More than half of our employees are based at our main location at Allschwill in Basel-Country.

 

Responsibilities  

 

  • Professional and punctual assembly of insulators and their components
  • Installation of ventilation components and pneumatic system components
  • Detection and correction of mechanical defects 
  • Implementation of assembly tests with adequate test procedures
  • Support for customer's insertion of the insulators
  • Support of the assembly manager in complex and customer-specific plant construction projects

 

Hardskills  

 

  • Completed training as mechatronics engineer, metal worker, plant mechanic, etc. 
  • Assembly experience in plant and apparatus engineering
  • Good technical understanding 
  • Understanding of P&I and pneumatic diagrams
  • Ideally knowledge of electrical engineering
  • Safe handling of MS-Office
  • Driving licence for passenger cars
  • Business fluent in German and English
