Employee customs / export control

Founded in 1968 as a trading company for Scandinavian laboratory equipment, SKAN is now global market leader in the specialist area of isolator construction for aseptic applications. One of our core competencies is the manufacture of process isolators for pharmaceutical-aseptic production. Even the most complex customer requirements can be fulfilled thanks to the experts at our in-house laboratories who research innovative solutions for isolator technology. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Support the Head of Trade Compliance in the execution of customs and export control classification. 
  • You are very familiar with general and individual licenses 
  • You will support the Head of Trade Compliance in blocking and checking critical applications regarding material properties, as well as sanctions and embargo lists
  • Maintenance of material classification and foreign trade data in the SAP Material Master
  • Responsibility and monitoring for the preference calculation of the applied free trade agreements (preference management) and creation of preferential and non-preferential proofs of origin
  • Ensuring compliance by creating work instructions and circulars and translating export regulations into target group-specific information
  • Drive and implement continuous improvement processes of customs and export control classification procedures

 

Hardskills

 

  • Completed commercial or technical professional training as well as further training in the field of foreign trade or customs law
  • Several years of professional experience in the area of compliance & export control  
  • Good knowledge of legal requirements in DE, EU, CH and US law
  • You work in a structured manner and can look back on many solved challenges in the field of export control
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
