Head of Process Validation Microbiology

Founded in 1968 as a trading company for Scandinavian laboratory equipment, SKAN is now global market leader in the specialist area of isolator construction for aseptic applications. One of our core competencies is the manufacture of process isolators for pharmaceutical-aseptic production. Even the most complex customer requirements can be fulfilled thanks to the experts at our in-house laboratories who research innovative solutions for isolator technology. 

We currently employ around 800 employees with over 40 nationalities represented. More than half of our employees are based at our main location at Allschwill in Basel-Country.


Responsibilities  Responsibilities


  • Management and development of the "Process Validation Microbiology" department

  • Examination and implementation of corporate goals

  • Monitoring of the department's budget targets and for individual optimization projects

  • Close cooperation with relevant departments

  • Execution of qualification work on SKAN AG equipment internally and externally at customers

  • Independent handling of cycle development, microbiological qualification and requalification internally and externally

  • Evaluation of test series and clarification studies within the scope of SKAN projects and maintenance

  • Cooperation in the microbiological laboratory of SKAN AG



Hardskills  Hardskills


  • University or college degree in microbiology, environmental technology or pharmaceutical engineering

  • Technical understanding and interest in practical chemical and microbiological studies

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable

  • Several years of professional and management experience

  • German & English business fluent
