Service Automation Engineer

Founded in 1968 as a trading company for Scandinavian laboratory equipment, SKAN is now global market leader in the specialist area of isolator construction for aseptic applications. One of our core competencies is the manufacture of process isolators for pharmaceutical-aseptic production. Even the most complex customer requirements can be fulfilled thanks to the experts at our in-house laboratories who research innovative solutions for isolator technology. 

We currently employ around 800 employees with over 40 nationalities represented. More than half of our employees are based at our main location at Allschwill in Basel-Country.

 

Responsibilities  Responsibilities

 

  • Planning, creation and adaptation of software for SPS controls, user interfaces and their documentation

  • Creation of test programs & plans for control systems

  • Execution and documentation of program tests within the scope of a standard & GMP-compliant control qualification

  • Preparation of system documentation for the MSR - part

  • Implementation and documentation of technical commissioning and testing

  • Troubleshooting service and technical processing of customer tickets in the context of support requests

  • Reporting of service activities

     

Hardskills  Hardskills

 

  • Professional experience in plant engineering, preferably with a pharmaceutical background
  • Profound experience in control engineering
  • PLC programming knowledge (IEC 61131-3 is advantageous)
  • User knowledge of a visualization system (COPA-DATA zenOn advantageous)
  • Safe handling of MS-Office and IT systems
  • Good knowledge of German and English
