Field Engineer Customised Solutions

Founded in 1968 as a trading company for Scandinavian laboratory equipment, SKAN is now global market leader in the specialist area of isolator construction for aseptic applications. One of our core competencies is the manufacture of process isolators for pharmaceutical-aseptic production. Even the most complex customer requirements can be fulfilled thanks to the experts at our in-house laboratories who research innovative solutions for isolator technology. 

We currently employ around 800 employees with over 40 nationalities represented. More than half of our employees are based at our main location at Allschwill in Basel-Country.

 

Responsibilities  Responsibilities

 

  • Activities within the scope of qualification as well as re-qualification of SKAN systems / products
  • Installation and functional tests of the components and the entire system

  • Calibration and adjustment of sensors that measure a wide range of physical quantities

  • Edit GMP documents, fill out reports and create protocols

  • Execution of maintenance measures or customer service assignments on SKAN systems and products

  • Trouble Shooting on plants and components at our customers, in the pharmaceutical environment

  • Exchange of components and corresponding tests

  • Minor mechanical repairs

  • Implementation of plant-specific training courses at customers' premises

  • Operational quality assurance measures and development of sustainable customer relationships

  • Sincere and clear communication with our worldwide customers

  • Creation of work, expense and other reports

 

Hardskills  Hardskills

 

  • Basic technical training in the field of Mechatronics or electrical engineering
  • Experience in a GMP environment or in the field of isolator technology 
  • German and English language skills are fluent
  • Working style is accurate, self-dependent and well documented
